Christ
Episcopal Church was built in 1828, to replace the Magotha Bay Church,
which had been the "Lower" Church of Hungars Parish in colonial
days. The Communion Service (flagon, chalice and paten) in
Christ Church was given in 1741 by John Custis of Arlington,
father-in-law of Martha Custis, whose second husband was George

Eastville Inn, located in the center of town, serves some of the
best food on the shore! In the spring, summer, and fall, there
is a intriguing cottage garden in the back of the inn. They
have a terrific selection of home-made daily soups and the salads
often feature local ingredients. The seafood is fresh and perfectly
cooked (try the Eastern Shore Dinner - crab cakes and oysters!!) -
and make sure you try one of their sweet potato biscuits .. The
Eastville Inn's fried shrimp placed 2nd out of 70 Hampton Roads
restaurants in the

Eastville Volunteer Fire Company was originally incorporated in
1931 as the Eastville town council motioned to purchase a chemical
fire engine known as 'Double 35'. For the next several years the
all-volunteer company purchased additional apparatus and constructed
a new fire station in 1940. Today, the Eastville Volunteer
Fire Company has grown into an efficient company providing modern
